UC Berkeley | ENV DES 11A: Visual Representation
Instructor: Darell Fields | TA: Gennifer Munoz | Fall 2012

The visual representation studio culminated in a composite model that embodies the spatial concepts explored throughout the semester. Through collaging and drawing, studies of the painting Painterly Architectonic (1917) by Suprematist artist Lyubov Popova were produced based on figure-ground and line-contour relationships, the use of color, proportion, layers, and composition. The final model highlights the implied geometries in the two-dimensional painting in the form of a three-dimensional object.
